Columbus, Ohio (June 8, 2022) — The pandemic brought about significant changes, one of which was a mass exodus of the workforce, often referred to as The Great Resignation. Regardless of why, 47.8 million people quit their jobs in 2021 — an average of 4 million per month — the highest average on record, topping the 2019 average of 3.5 million, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
